Foundation for the Development of Education SPATIA is a young non-governmental organization established in order to introduce permanent, pro-innovative changes in the field of formal, informal and non-formal education. The mission of the organization is to create new qualities in modern schools, at every educational stage. The focus of the Foundation’s members’ interests is building the intellectual potential enabling people to consciously and creatively adapt to the realities of the modern world. Hence the need to constantly create solutions, tools and recommendations that will allow young people to find themselves in the constantly changing social and economic reality. The organization’s vision also includes being a leader in creating unique educational resources and inspiring teachers to instil in students the joy of learning throughout life. The organization was founded in one of the postindustrial cities of Upper Silesia and from the very beginning it has been trying to associate and support local educators and people working with young people.

IX Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace im. Wislawy Szymborskiej w Sosnowcu
IX LO im. W. Szymborskiej w Sosnowcu is a new school which was founded on 1 September 2017, as a result of the education reform. The school is perceived as attractive because itoffers education in the following fields: medical, artistic and media, linguistic-geographical, polytechnic and legal, in which students participate in supplementary classes implementedon the basis of original programs created by the teachers. The institution currently has 18 classes, approx. 500 students aged 15-19. It employs 60 teachers, a psychologist, a schoolcounsellor and 20 members of non-teaching staff including two secretaries and two cooks. Last year we accepted about 200 students representing different levels of knowledge and cmpetences from the surrounding urban and rural areas, opening 11 first classes. This year we could open only four first grade classes, but there were four times more students who were willing to enter. These facts prove that we are the second most popular high school in Sosnowiec.

Malatya Bilim Ve Sanat Merkezi
Malatya Science and Art Center has been opened to develop in a way that does not disrupt students’ education in formal educational institutions. It aims to make students aware of their individual ability and capacity to ensure utilization at the highest level.
It is located in the west part of Malatya and it takes nearly 15 minutes to get to the city centre by car. Malatya is a large city in the Eastern Anatolia region of Turkey and the capital of Malatya Province. The city has been a human settlement for thousands of years. The site of ancient Melitene lies a few kilometres from the modern city in what is now the village of Arslantepe and near the dependant district centre of Battalgazi (Byzantine to Ottoman Empire). The population is 803.499. The Malatya region is best known for its apricot orchards.Our centre was founded in 2005. Edmund Rice College
Edmund Rice College was established in 2016. It is a second-level school, catering for both boys and girls from the ages of 12 – 18/19. It is located in Carrigaline, which is a town approximately 15 kms from the city of Cork, which is the second largest city in Ireland. It offers a broad academic curriculum. At the end of their schooling students sit a State examination called the Leaving Certificate, which is the main mechanism by which students gain admission to third-level education.
At present the school has an enrolment over 5 year groups of 444 students. It has a staff of approximately 50. It is part of a wider network of schools in Ireland called the Edmund Rice Schools Trust (erst.ie) which is part of a larger collection of schools worldwide called Edmund Rice Education Beyond Borders (erebb.org).
The staff are relatively young and this will be the first opportunity that many teachers have to participate in an Erasmus project. The school has many activities for its students and in keeping with its religious ethos, tries to emphasise caring for those less fortunate, which means that students get involved in lots of fundraising activities for charities.
In keeping with its ethos, the school is very inclusive. This means that no academic selection takes place in terms of who is enrolled in the school. The school also has a progamme, within mainstream education, for 18 students who are have been diagnosed with autism

CulturePolis
CulturePolis is a Civil Society Organization based in Corfu Island, Greece since 2006, which aims to highlight, promote, and sustainable manage cultural heritage, especially in Corfu. Its’ team is also active in the promotion of arts and cultural and creative entrepreneurship, in the development of intercultural dialogue as well as raising awareness and training of stakeholders on sustainability and social innovation. CulturePolis achieves these ambitious goals mainly through national, European, and international competitive funding programs. It mainly operates in Europe, the Balkans, and the Mediterranean Basin and participates in international networks while being at the same time a hosting structure for specialized initiatives and in this context created in 2020 the “Center of Greek and Arabic Literature and Culture – K.EL.A.L.P.”.

Escola Básica e Secundária Padre Manuel Álvares
Escola Básica e Secundária Padre Manuel Álvares is located on the western coast of Madeira Island, in the village of Ribeira Brava and integrates the Portuguese Public Educational System, regulated by the Ministry of Education and, because it is in an autonomous region, also by the Regional Secretary of Education. The school recently underwent a much-needed renovation and was inaugurated in September 2021. It teaches the second and third cycles of basic education and the secondary level (10 to 18 years old), with a team of around 140 teachers for 900 students.
The school was first founded in 1973, and in its beginning operated outdoors for lack of adequate facilities, furniture, and equipment, using all the space provided by the community (the market, the streets, the church, the beach, …) to develop an innovative teaching methodology, as can be seen in this video from that time (https://arquivos.rtp.pt/conteudos/gaivotas-em-terra-uma-experiencia-pedagogica-na-madeira/).
The school choose as its motto the message of Jonathan Livingston Seagull (a book by Richard Bach), a seagull that wanted to learn more than flying for survival and wanted to fly higher than other seagulls, learning from its own mistakes.
EBSPMA considers the Erasmus+ programme a tool of vital importance to widen the students’ and the teachers’ worldview and to create a true spirit of cooperation and solidarity among European countries and all other countries on the planet, by raising awareness of our similarities and differences and building bridges for a better world.
